Hanneli Mustaparta

In short about Hanneli, she has been a succesfull model for the past 8 years (representated by Supreme and Ford Models) and works for Vogue , is a VJ for MTV in Norway and a streetstyle photographer.

She has an immaculate sense for the latest trends and styling and that is why I love to visit her blog.

"My new obsession is burgundy and navy mixed together. Skirt by Yigal Azrouel, shirt by Acne, bag by Mulberry, sunglasses by Ralph Lauren and shoes by Office."

"I love that the skirt is longer in the back than in the front. And the sweater has a open back which I failed to photograph. Sweater and skirt is by Acne and bag by Mulberry."

Dsquared2 Fall Winter 2011/ 2012

Imagine … going back in time: the settler’s period of the USA, brave pioneer women concering the country, in the roughest conditions. That’s the theme of Dean and Dan Caten for this winter.

Beautifull long skirts, leather gloves, rich wool fabrics and velvet combined with denim in grey, black and brown tones.

The Main Trends RTW Fall Winter 2011/ 2012

Ok, ok I know it's still summer ... but still July ...  so time to start thinking about your winter wardrobe, especially with sale going on everywhere. So you're just in time to score some items that will work great for this winter as well.

The main trends for this winter, according to the British Vogue are:

1) TARTAN > Click here to see the full Vogue report of the trend on the catwalk
  • Highland checks and bold squares abound for autumn/winter 2011-12, worked into traditional kilts, dramatic bustle skirts and sleek, sporty coats
  • This season's spin? Doubling up your plaid - jacket plus dress, skirt plus trousers - looks twice as nice
  • Whether it's traditional tartan, Prince of Wales, hound's tooth or just simple perpendicular lines - as long as it's checked, it's on-trend.

2) FORTIES GLAMOUR > Click here to see the full Vogue report of the trend on the catwalk
  • The Forties trend is a fully-dressed affair - fur, shrugs, pearls, gloves and a slim belt are all required extra
  • Frida Giannini, at Gucci, distilled all the glamour of the decade into her show with fedoras and pussy bow blouses thrown into the mix
  • Jonathan Saunders steered away from a predictable interpretation through the use of unexpected colour combinations
  • Donna Karan wrapped and twisted fabrics to create a silhouette that was simultaneously sexy and smart

DSquared2 Ready-To-Wear Fall 2011/ 2012 Winter Milan show

  • Tunics worn with trousers is autumn/winter 2011-12's new easy uniform
  • Simple, pared-down pieces in wool and jersey work best by day, while slinky silks with metallic accents are night's answer to the trend
  • Wear one colour head-to-toe - à la Michael Kors and Alberta Ferretti - or mix neutrals with black or white for a sophisticated, modern look.

Alberta Ferretti Fall 2011/ 2012

Alberta Ferretti Fall 2011/ 2012

  • Leather, rubber or PVC should be oil-slick shiny and only ever in black
  • Seduce in suggestive sheer panels and peek-a-boo necklines and lots of black lace but leave the corsetry and bondage paraphernalia at home
  • Sheer black or lace stockings lend an extra appeal to the look - wear with high-shine patent leather stilettos

  • Nudes at Givenchy, appliquéd flowers at Viktor & Rolf, cats at Ungaro and dogs at Topshop - pair colourful motifs with a monochrome palette for maximum impact
  • Spots are the easiest way to break into the trend - Stella's and Marc Jacobs' were the prettiest
  • Richly-coloured winter gardens look super feminine
  • Feeling brave? Wear your decorative prints with clashing floral tights and fierce shoe-boots.

  • Dressed-up menswear is a neat alternative for the evening - add a touch of glamour with silk ties, cummerbunds, and tuxedos
  • A pair of sparkly trousers, teamed with a plunging shirt and heels - as seen at Michael Kors - is the perfect formula for subverted andro-glamour
  • The trend showed its more sensuous side at Dolce and Gabbana and Moschino, where monochrome was broken up with flourishes of ornate sequins and gilded embroidery

  • Fashion has moved on from summer's devotion to the Seventies, this autumn/winter 2011-12 is all about the Sixties
  • Look to Bottega Veneta or Jean Paul Gaultier for a sophisticated take on ladylike dressing with a retro spin
  • Go for fabrics that will hold their shape in shift dresses and two-piece skirt suits
  • Head to Prada for graphic-print pinafores and to Burberry for winter coats with perfectly sloped shoulders
  • Wear with knee-high boots or pretty pointed court shoes
Burberry Prorsum Fall Winter 2011/ 2012

  • Jewel colours have taken over from the brights of last season, adding a rich sumptuousness to autumn/winter 2011-12's palette
  • Wear for day or night as a new alternative to black
  • For maximum impact, wear head-to-toe and, for extra wow-factor, choose sequins for a show-stopping look. Dolce & Gabbana's emerald dress could stop traffic.
  • If full-on colour-blocking is a step too far, tone it down by investing in a ruby or amethyst-coloured winter coat or in accessories in precious shades of sapphire or garnet.
