Winter in Holland

It seems like everybody here in Holland is a little ice "crazy" ... everybody is talking about going skating, slee riding, step sleeing, ice sailing, kitesurfing on the snowy meadows or the IJsselmeer, is the "elf steden tocht" going through or not, new words like: ice harpoon (a device to measure the thickness of the ice), ice feever, etc, are popping up every day.

Besides skating I think I prefer the ice sailing:

Not just the ice sailers are used for this, but all kinds of boats are being rebuild
